On September 22, Elma will celebrate the start of construction for the renovation of the Swiss headquarters along with customers, partners, representatives of local government and regional economic development, as well as employees. This CHF 40 mn investment supports the growth strategy of the Elma Group, which is based on the increasing demand for robust and innovative system solutions in Europe.
Wetzikon, Switzerland, September 19, 2025 – Elma Electronic AG has officially begun the construction of their headquarters in Wetzikon, Switzerland. On September 22, Elma will celebrate the start of construction for the renovation of the Swiss headquarters along with customers, partners, representatives of local government and regional economic development, as well as employees. This CHF 40 mn investment supports the growth strategy of the Elma Group, which is based on the increasing demand for robust and innovative system solutions in Europe.
In 2024, the Elma Group launched a significant investment program in Europe, which includes – among other locations - the construction of a new factory in Romania and the renovation in Switzerland. The total investment volume over the next three years amounts to CHF 60 mn, of which CHF 40 mn in the Swiss headquarters in Wetzikon. The renovation is the first step in transforming the headquarters of Elma Electronic AG into a modern industrial campus. Along with these investments, Elma is also continuing their development to strengthen their innovative capabilities.
Elma is committed to the sustainable use of resources and will retain the supporting concrete structure of the existing building during the reconstruction. The reuse of the so-called gray energy saves significant amounts of emissions. As part of an overall ecological design approach, sealed surfaces will be removed, and work and meeting spaces will be created in the forested surroundings through greening. The highest standards in energy efficiency, health, and workplace safety will be realized in collaboration with Duplex Architekten AG and the general planner Itten+Brechbühl AG by the end of 2027.
