Elma Interim Results 2022: 

Strong increase in order income, operational business slowed down by shortages in the supply chains and lockdown in China

Thanks to the ongoing high demand for their products and services, the Elma Group has again significantly increased order income in the first half of 2022. Despite shortages in the supply chains and a two-months lockdown in China, Elma succeeded to keep net sales at the previous year’s level. While the companies in Europe and Asia made a positive profit contribution, the entities in the USA reported a loss as a result of supply shortages. Overall, Elma achieved a net profit of CHF 1.4 million. Net debts were reduced. As of June 30, 2022, the equity ratio was over 50%.

  • Order income increased by 7.7% to CHF 89.9 million (previous year: CHF 83.5 million)
  • Net sales of CHF 74.7 million at previous year’s level (previous year: CHF 74.8 million)
  • EBIT of CHF 1.0 million (previous year: CHF 3.0 million); net profit of CHF 1.4 million (previous year: CHF 2.3 million)
  • Cash flow from operating activities of CHF 5.6 million slightly improved (previous year: CHF 5.5 million)
  • Net debts further reduced by CHF 4.3 million to CHF 10.0 million (December 31, 2021: CHF 14.3 million)
  • Solid equity ratio of 50.4% (December 31, 2021: 51.8%)
  • Important system order received from the automotive industry for autonomous driving in Germany
