COM Express

COM Express is a specification for x86-based computer-on-modules. They have the core functionality of a bootable PC such as CPU, graphics processor, memory and standard interfaces on a module plugged into an application-specific carrier board via connectors.

COM Express modules are specified in four different dimensions and a total of eight different pin outs. By defining the pin assignment in the so-called pin-out types, it is ensured that COM Express modules are interchangeable.
