Application This unit’s receiver is tied to the speed control electronics on the locomotive of a freight train. In case the train’s engineer falls ill, or the train is taken over by a terrorist, the remote control unit allow someone standing near the tracks when the train goes by to override the operating controls on the train. The train can then be slowed down, or the brakes can be applied, or the train can be completely disabled.
