Transit Rack Cases

These rugged Transit Rack Cases comply with MIL-STD 810F, are rated to IP65 and are stable in temperatures from –40°F to +158°F. The cases combine the tough resilience of a rotomolded case with a stainless steel 19” rack frame supported on anti-vibration mounts. These rugged Transit Rack Cases comply with MIL-STD 810F and are rated to IP65.
12R2

The COTS 12R2 is a high quality and cost-efficient rugged package for all VME/VME64x, CompactPCI, VXI, VXS,VPX, and MicroTCA applications. The rugged product line includes 5U-14U models for both 6U and 9U cards. Shock-isolation optional. Intended to withstand the demands of a military environment, the 12R2 is designed to meet benchmark military standards. The 12R2 uses honeycomb filters, braided gasketing, and metal impregnated gasket sheets to seal off every external seam to ensure compliance to MIL-STD-46
12R1

The 12R1 COTS chassis comes in 2U to 10U heights in horizontal and vertical orientations. A wide range of backplanes in various slot sizes is available in VME, VME64x, CompactPCI, VXI, VXS, or VPX architectures.The chassis are designed, manufactured and tested to meet the demands of military, aerospace and defense markets and MIL-S-167, MIL-S-810E, MIL-S-461D and MIL-S-901D standards. The chassis are compliant to the IEEE 1101.10/.11 mechanical specifications.
ATR

Elma's full line of convection cooled ATR (Air Transport Rack) enclosures offer a standardized, cost effective solution for VME, VME64x,cPCI, VXS, VPX, and MicroTCA based applications. Available in 1/2, 3/4, 1 and 1 1/2 ATR tall long formats per ARINC 404A specifications, the modular design concept allows for wide range customization options without the cost and lead-time penalties associated with traditional construction techniques.
ATR-Conduction Cooled

With an environmentally sealed enclosure or in high altitudes, there is often not enough airflow for convection cooling. Conduction cooled ATRs have a machined card cage that accommodates wedge locks to transfer the heat. The Elma conduction cooled ATR has been optimized for cooling via thermal simulation studies. The temperature operating range is -40C to +70C degrees.
ATR - Liquid Cooled

This modular design ATR holds conduction cooled modules with independent dual liquid cooled side walls and a field-proven High Integrity Frame construction.
ATR Tray

The ATR Tray is shock isolated to meet ARINC 404A specifications via four mounting points. The trays are standardized so that any enclosure designed to meet the ARINC 404A specification will securely fit. Guide pins allow ease for blind-mating insertion.
Rugged Slide Rails

The chassis/cabinet mounted slide rails are ultra rugged and hold significantly more weight and can withstand shock and vibration in harsh environments.
Sentry

The Sentry III Diagnostic Monitor is a microprocessor-based instrument for monitoring and controlling the power supplies, fans, etc. in an Elma chassis.
E-Frame Test and Development Platform

The E-frame is a modular, portable test chassis with an open frame for easy access. It can support various card sizes (3U, 6U, etc) and up to 19 slots at .8" or 15 slots at 1" pitch. The unit offers a wide range of power options, fan speed control, front accessible test points, and optional system monitoring.
Ruggedized MicroTCA-Rackmount

The 12R2 is designed to meet the harsh environment of shipboard, airborne, and ground mobile applications per MI-STD’s. The low profile makes it ideal when space is a premium. Highly configurable, the unit can be ordered with choice of high performance MicroTCA backplane, fixed or shock isolated card cage, AC or DC input power supply, custom I/O patch panel.
Ruggedized MicroTCA-ATR

The all-aluminum ATRs are made from punched and formed sheet metal and milled plates. A removable front panel allows I/O customization to exact application requirements and increased configurability. The ATR enclosures use electrostatic dust filters, honeycomb EMI filters and a narrow screw spacing to seal off every external seam to ensure compliance to MIL-STD-461D.
